Being a Christian is a wonderful thing. In addition to having the chance to be born-again and spend eternity in heaven, you also get all of the perks of having a heavenly Father. God wants what’s best for you so he can help with things like succeeding at work and in life. One way that you can be proud of yourself and your life is by being on time, especially to work.
There are many benefits to being on time wherever you go, and God can help you be more punctual while also helping you during the rest of the day. Let’s look at how this is possible.
The Importance of Punctuality

Whether you’re going to work, to school, or meeting friends, it’s important that you’re on time.
Why You Should Try to Be Punctual
The main reason why you should try to be punctual wherever you go is because it shows people that you respect them and care about their time.
If you’re expected to be somewhere, and you show up late, it gives the impression that you don’t care about the other people. You’re telling them that they’re not important enough. When you’re late for work, you give the impression that you don’t care about what you’re doing.
You don’t need to show up 10 minutes early every time, and there will be times where you unintentionally run late, but you should try to get there on time.
Benefits of Punctuality
There are many benefits to being punctual:
- When it comes to your job, management will see that you care about your work, and this could lead to a promotion or more money down the line.
- Being on time to meet up with family will show that you care about them. That deeper love will make you a happier person.
- If you leave with the intention of getting where you’re going on time then you won’t have to stress so much about traffic and being late.
Why Does God Want to Help You Be More Punctual?

God is your heavenly Father, regardless of if you are a christian or if you say that you don’t believe in him at all. He loves us and he wants us to succeed. He also wants us to be kind to others. One way that you can show respect to yourself and to others is by being on time.
If you need more proof, we can get it from the Bible. To start, God wants us to perform good works during our life. Part of being good is being punctual and respectful of others.
Matthew 5:16: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. – Translation: God always wants you to do what’s right, that includes being on time. When you’re punctual, you’ll be a good example to others.
Titus 2:7: In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorrupted, gravity, sincerity. – Translation: It’s important that you try to do what’s right as often as possible. When you’re on time, you’re showing that you care and that you’re sincere about your feelings.
So, God wants you to be on time. Not just because your boss wants you to be but because God wants you to live a happy, productive, and honest life.
How God Can Help You Be More Punctual
If you have a big problem with getting to places on time or you’re always leaving late, then you can ask God for assistance. There are a few things you can do:
- Pray and Ask for Help
The easiest and best way to get your life back on track and be more punctual is to get on your knees and pray to God. He is your heavenly Father, and he cares about you. Pray for wisdom and ask for his help. Pray every day and He will hear you. It will help to accept his son, Jesus Christ as your personal savior. Then, you have the chance to be born again.
When you’re born again, you’ll feel differently about life. You’ll have the Holy Spirit giving you advice and guidance. You’ll want to be on time, respectful, and follow God’s commandments.
- Add Structure to Your Life
If you have trouble being on time, then it may be because your life is a bit disorganized. If you constantly find yourself waking up late, falling behind, and you’re known as the person who arrives late, then you need to make a change.
You may need to create a schedule for yourself. Set your alarm for the same time every morning, even on weekends. Doing so will help you to set your circadian rhythm and wake up easier. Then, set a time for when you take your shower each day, when you leave for work, etc.
If you want to grow closer to God, then part of your daily schedule should be praying and reading the Bible. If you set time aside in the morning to read the Bible, then you’ll be up earlier and have more time before you need to leave, so you won’t be in such a rush.
With a good schedule, you’ll be much more likely to be more punctual.
- Remember to Love Thy Neighbor
In the book of Mathew, Jesus said that you should love thy neighbor. God wants you to follow his lessons and commandments, and one of them is to respect your neighbor, aka, the people in your neighborhood and the people you know and meet in life.
So, do yourself and God a favor and change your point of view so that you’ll want to be on time. By loving God and Jesus Christ, and by wanting to follow his guidance, you can be more successful and happier in general.
Want To Be Truly Happy?

Accept Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Savior. Whether we like it or not, we are all sinners, but Jesus paid the ultimate price so we can be forgiven and go to heaven after we die. By accepting Jesus and accepting that he died on the cross and that his blood covers our sins, we can be forgiven and finally be truly happy. We can forget about the stress and anxiety of this world and look forward to a wonderful life in heaven.
All you have to do is pray, ask for Jesus to be your savior, and ask for forgiveness of your sins. If you really mean it, you can be born-again. You won’t be so obsessed with the bad things in this world and you can be truly happy.
